The Kitchen Table (2024)
The Kitchen Table explores the idea of “feminist material”, centering the kitchen and the domestic space as a site of communal gathering, liberation, and feminist pedagogy. Built around my own memories in the kitchen, and drawing on feminist scholars bell hooks, Chantal Akerman, Carolee Schneemann, Mierle Laderman Ukele, Moyra Davey, and Martha Rosler, this project is an archive of not only my life but of feminist thought more broadly.
Special thanks Dr. Alanna Thain and Sadie Bryant for their support in the making of this project. Dedicated to Frances Miceli (née Payne), Ellen Miceli-Bush, and Pauline Bush (née Schnobb).
